Yesterday I had my second closing! The house was financed by the sellers and everything went very smoothly. It was great not having a bank involved as there was far less paperwork and closing went much quicker.
On Friday my wife and I went and saw Fiddler on the Roof, Jr. at Christian Heritage School. The students did very good and the production was so much better than I thought it would be. In only a few weeks my wife will be done teaching for the year! She’s not planning on going back next year as she is due to have our first baby boy on Sept. 10th. I am excited about being a father but I’m also nervous about making enough sales to provide for my family.
I’ve had a lot of prospects lately, but many of them don’t seem to be serious buyers. I’ve shown many houses to people that won’t call me back. Contrary to popular belief real estate agents only get paid when the sale closes. Every house I show makes me no money unless the people I show it to choose to buy it through me.
Today I’m working on expanding my presence on the internet as well as working with a new client to find a cheap home.
